Overcoming children who are truant because of the playstation

Have you ever heard of students playing truant because they are busy playing Play station at a rental place near their school? When you hear this news, as an educator you will definitely be angry, furious and can't understand why these students are sacrificing their future just to play a game that at first glance is just a waste of time and a waste of money.

In our past, there was only one television channel, and it was owned by the government as well. It is conceivable that if children who live today see or are given the opportunity to live in our time of their age, it is certain that they only have one comment; “boring”. This is because there are few facilities and technology for them to play and entertain.

The generation that is now our students live with technology. Their lives are surrounded by various types of technology from communication devices to music players, from televisions with dozens of channels to video games.

As an illustration, let's start from their daily life getting up in the morning with an alarm set on their cell phone, going to school while listening to music from a digital music player (mp3) while sending and receiving messages from school friends, until at school meeting with peers and then talk about the latest game developments until the night when they want to sleep sometimes they are still busy chatting via text messages or if there is a computer in their room, then they will chat via the internet.

So that's the lifestyle of our students today, with the help of technology helping them to stay connected to each other, while doing everything at the same time. While doing tasks on the computer, they listen to music, send and receive sms and many more examples that they are doing several things at the same time.
